FCS II CI X DANE REYNOLDS DD2 TRI FIN SET

$189.95

This Limited Edition CI set has been designed in collaboration with Dane Reynolds for the release of the Dumpster Diver 2.0 model.

Overview

The set consists of the regular AM side fins combined with an all new centre fin designed by Dane Reynolds. The ever-popular and highly raked AM side fins sit in the Carver family providing exceptional drive and hold. The centre fin features a high pivot, low raked template (Reactor Family). When paired together the set has a unique feel that's very secure and stable off the bottom with very fast tail release off the top.

The reason for the upright centre fin is due to the low-to-moderate tail rocker on the DD2. Having a more upright centre fin allows for a radical approach and the ability to slide the tail and break free from the lip when pushing harder off the top, while still providing lots if drive off the bottom. The upright centre fin also reduces drag making this set very fast!

  • Smooth off the bottom, fast and loose off the top. This fin matches perfectly with the CI DD2, just as Dane intended.
  • "When you think of how Dane surfs... its full throttle drive off the bottom, then he explodes off and above the lip. That's how this board and fin set performs"
  • Design collab w/ Dane Reynolds for the CI DD2
  • AM side fins, unique upright centre fin

Performance Glass

Solid fibreglass fins have for decades been the go-to construction for many of the world's best surfers.

Performance Glass (PG) fins are machine-cut from layers of solid fibreglass. These fins are stiff and are widely used by pro-level surfers because the integrity of the flex is maintained under immense force, and in the most extreme of conditions and situations.

PG fins have very fast memory recall which translates into speed. These fins generally sit at the higher end of the stiffness scale, providing immediate response and acceleration as the surfer powers up and drives through a turn.
